Celebrating Excellence in Teaching

The ISSS’ annual Instructor Appreciation Night, or simply just IAN, is an event that celebrates excellent teaching and hard work done by notable professors, faculty lecturers, and teaching assistants. Nominated personally by undergraduate science students, these outstanding instructors are awarded IAN Awards at our annual events. The IAN is also a chance for students to meet and chat with their instructors while enjoying refreshments provided by the ISSS. Make sure you nominate your favourite instructor and/or attend the IAN!
Instructor Appreciation Night 2024

Did you know there are over 300 professors and hundreds of Teaching Assistants!! Do you think your Professor and or TA is the best that there ever was? Well here is your chance to show your appreciation for them. The Interdepartmental Science Student’s Society (ISSS) will be hosting its annual Instructor Appreciation Night on February 15, 2024 (6:30 – 9:00 PM, Faculty Club). If you believe your Prof or TA has made a significant impact on your learning and/or is worthy of recognition, fill out a nomination ballot for them, and if selected for an award you and your nominee will be invited to a formal Banquet and Awards night in the their honour. Students will now have the opportunity to present awards in person, if they so choose. Students are invited to attend IAN and enjoy a free dinner at Faculty Club on the ISSS, a great opportunity to get to know some of our great Faculty Members!
